How Hireo handles candidate data when using AI/LLM services for CV parsing and analysis.
What is Hireo's zero-retention AI policy?
We use OpenRouter for AI processing with a zero-retention policy. Your candidate data is processed but never stored by the AI provider. Processing latency averages under 3 seconds per CV. All API calls use TLS 1.3 encryption in transit.
How does candidate data flow through the AI system?
- CV text is sent to AI for parsing via encrypted API call
- Structured data (skills, experience, contact info) is returned within 3 seconds
- No data is retained by the AI provider after processing completes
- All processing happens in real-time with no batch storage
- Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 in our database

What AI models are used for CV parsing?
Hireo uses Claude (by Anthropic) via OpenRouter for CV analysis. The model extracts over 50 structured fields including skills with years of experience, education history, certifications, and contact details. No training is performed on user data.
